Alterna – McRae Branch

The McRae branch marks the first iteration of Alterna’s new branch design, which our firm previously developed (see “Alterna Flagship Branch”). This compact, neighbourhood version, at approximately 1,600 sf, features soaring 18 foot ceilings and full height glazing. The eye-popping ceiling design consists of circles: round acoustical clouds alternate with similarly sized light fixtures, with clusters of dropped pendants extending down through the space. A custom light fixture dropped over the lounge area also plays with the scale. The result is a bright, inviting, and progressive banking environment.
