Chmiel Architects was retained by Export Development Canada (EDC) as their Advocate Architect for Base Building Services and their Prime Consultant for the delivery of the Interior Leasehold Improvements of their New Headquarters facility. The base building was conceived as a build-to-lease project, for which our team developed performance standards, and is comprised of a 19 storey building with three levels of underground parking.
The project achieved LEED Gold core and shell, and commercial interiors status. Features include media walls and displays throughout, enhanced infrastructure, improved thermal comfort, and addressable lighting.
